LLOG maintains an outstanding exploration success rate: 70% on all exploration wells drilled. We have been just as successful in the over sixty deepwater exploration wells drilled to date. Currently, LLOG is a top private oil producer in the United States, and holds over 100 leases in the Gulf of Mexico. With our two contracted deepwater drilling rigs, we are able to swiftly complete exploration and development activities. Our well balanced portfolio holds a profitable mix of prospects, development projects, and producing properties.

Who Dat Field

MC 503/546/547

Opti Ex FPS

Who Dat is a deepwater oil and gas development in the Gulf of Mexico. The field currently produces from nine wells, with its tenth well under completion. This completes phase one of the field development. Wells flow to LLOG's Opti-Ex floating production facility on location at Mississippi Canyon block 547. The Who Dat field is primarily oil, and consists of nine stacked amplitude-supported reservoirs in a salt withdrawal mini-basin. The wells targeted reservoirs ranging in depth from 12,000' to 17,000' TVD. Collectively, the wells penetrate over 700' of net pay in nine distinct reservoirs.

The Son of Bluto 2 field was discovered in 2012 with the MC431#1 well drilled to a total depth of 18,500’. The initial well found oil and gas bearing zones and a follow-up well is planned for the discovery. Son of Bluto 2 is tied back to the Delta House Floating Production System which began operations in 2Q 2015.

MC 300 MARMALARD

Sevan LA

Marmalard is a deepwater oil and gas development in the Gulf of Mexico. The discovery well at Mississippi Canyon 300 was drilled in 2012 to a total depth of 18,100 feet and encountered oil and gas bearing zones. A follow-up well was drilled in 2013 to a total depth of 18,000 feet and encountered similar results as the #1 well. Marmalard is tied back to the LLOG operated Delta House Floating Production System. Delta House came online in 2Q 2015.

MC 721/771 KODIAK

dev devils tower

The Kodiak field was discovered in 2008. The exploratory well encountered over 380’ of Middle and Lower Miocene hydrocarbon-bearing sands. Two follow-up wells have been drilled and the field consists of 6 pay sands. Development plans for the field call for smart completions and a subsea tie back of 1-2 wells to the Devils Tower Spar.

dev powerball

The South Timbalier 231 #1 well (Powerball South) was drilled to a depth of 18,915 feet and encountered over 90 feet of net gas/condensate pay in high quality reservoir sands. A follow-up well in northern fault block of the prospect (ST 232 #2) was drilled in Q3 2013 and encountered twice as much pay as expected in the same high quality sands. With the help of constructed facilities in 2014, the well was brought online in Q1 2015.
