Covington, LA – September 27, 2006 – Gerald Boelte, founder, President and Chairman of LLOG Exploration Company, L.L.C. (LLOG) since 1977 announced that Scott Gutterman will replace him as President and Chief Executive Officer and Kevin P. Guilbeau will replace Gutterman as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Boelte will remain actively involved with the company as its Chairman.
Gutterman served in various positions with LLOG including Exploration Manager, Vice President of Exploration, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Since joining the company in 1993, Gutterman has led the evolution of LLOG from a small onshore exploitation company to one of the most active exploration companies in the Gulf of Mexico.
With over 25 years of exploration and production experience, Guilbeau will be responsible for leading all elements of LLOG’s operations which include the Gulf of Mexico offshore and coastal regions of Louisiana and Texas. Prior to joining LLOG, Guilbeau held the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager, Gulf of Mexico for Dominion Exploration and Production. He also served as Vice President of Exploration and General Manager of Exploration and Development during his ten years at Dominion. Guilbeau began his career with Shell Oil Company where he held a variety of positions in both onshore and offshore regions. He was assigned to Shell’s Deepwater business unit from 1990 – 1996.
